International Day of Prayer

Join faith communities around the world for a dedicated time of prayer and reflection for those in need of shelter.  This year, Habitat observes its annual International Day of Prayer and Action for Human Habitat on Sunday, Oct. 6.  For more than three decades, Habitat for Humanity has made dramatic differences in the lives of people around the world. Many volunteers are drawn to this ministry after hearing God’s call and seeking God’s guidance through prayer.  Be propelled by your prayers to raise awareness of the need for adequate shelter throughout the world and to make affordable housing a reality for all.

God, teach us humility so that we may…
     …listen
     …confess and forgive
…serve in relationship with the poor
     …persevere in our mission
…unify as one body with many diverse parts
…and act with courage and boldness

Faith Engagement

Churches support our ministry in a number of ways, from volunteering to financial sponsorship to praying for our mission.  We invite people of all faiths to join us. Ardmore Habitat's Interfaith projects benefit the entire community. We can organize church-sponsored builds or create events to match the ministry goals of your church.
